Yesterday evening, I attended a new quarterly meeting at Grace Avenue called Hearts of GOLD (Givers Of Love and Devotion) . It is a time for fellowship, inspiration, and even desert! Last night, Angela Weber was the guest speaker and she told us her story along with kicking off Relay for Life. Relay for Life is supposed to take place tonight and it is a fundraiser program to bring awareness and money for research for cancer. Angela is a survivor of breast cancer and her husband is too. Her husband found out he had cancer about two months before they were planned to be married. Then the day before his surgery, she found out she too had breast cancer. The two of them met in August and by December were engaged. They were planned to be married in April and it was in February before the wedding they found out they had breast cancer. Neither of them had a history of cancer in their family. She gave facts about breast cancer and answered questions for us. She gave the best quote last evening before finishng up:
"You may be only one person in the world, but you may be the world to one person." - Unknown
She ended her story with that quote stating how the reason she gives her personal story is because she may impact another's persons life. Afterwards, we all had delicious Cheesecake Factory Cheescake and it was great! I had a chocalate piece that I couldn't finish and ended up taking it and a few other slices home since there were extras along with a slice of regular chocolate cake for Jeff.

Test grades and Cruise
I also found out what I made on the three test that I had last Wednesday, April 12th. I made a 92% on my Geography Map Quiz, a 95% on my Teaching Math Test, and an 84% on my Environmental Science Test. Now, the next test are all finals in May and then this semester is finished!
Yesterday, in the mail Jeff and I received are passports! We are now one step closer to our cruise! Yeah! I now have to do the pre-registration online to speed up our check-in process on the day we leave. I'm definatly at the point where I am ready for the semester to be over and ready to take a vacation from it all! But after my few weeks off from school, I'll be ready by June 5th for the start of Summer 1.

Easter Egg Hunt
This evening, Jakob and I went to Grace Avenue for the Easter Egg Hunt. He did a good job collecting eggs and acted like a pro until he would hold his bucket incorrectly and lose all of them! I took the video camera and the digital camera to record it.

Cover Girls
I joined Grace United Methodist Church about a week and half ago. They have a group of women (or probably anyone really) who crochet, knit, and quilt. The items that are made are given as donations to area hospitals. The group will teach you how to do something also and help you make something. My old neighbor, Sandra, in Killeen taught me how to crochet so I remember how, but it's been a long time! Last night I was playing around and practicing and made a simple 1 inch square by doing half stictches. I spent the entire day (9am-5pm) at UNT working on school, so it was nice to do something other than school last evening.
