Well, I had a very busy week this past week! School started on Tuesday, and I only had my one class that day. However, to make sure I had enough time with getting up, getting Jakob up and dressed, getting to Jakob’s school, and then getting to UNT I got up early on Tuesday. My first class that day wasn’t until 12:00pm so I had some time to kill. So I dropped off information for financial aid and checked on my final transcript with admissions. Jakob did good on this day at his school, but he didn’t have much lunch. They said he was falling asleep at lunch, and had a really hard time eating because he was so tired! He woke up that morning at 6am, so I’m sure he was tired. He napped on the way home I think everyday this past week.
Wednesday, was my long day of all of my classes. Classes start at 8:00am and go until 3:20pm. Wednesday, I realized how much walking I was going to do on campus! I laughed to myself thinking how I was definitely going to get in shape going to school! At the same time I thought to myself I didn’t realize I should have been in shape first! Ha! I walked so much. And the way my classes ended up, I walk from one end to another side, and back, etc. I have plenty of time to get from class to class, but it’s just funny. Jakob did well on Wednesday at his school. They were impressed on how good he ate that day.
No classes on Thursday, so Jakob and I stayed home on Thursday. He was so exhausted! He took a long morning nap and then took another afternoon nap! He is still adjusting to getting up early and the changes to his schedule. He also has gotten the lovely runny nose from going to daycare. He has had it since Thursday. I have given a little medicine if he seems like he needs it, but he’s not really sick. In the future, I may go to Denton on Thursday from time to time to study while Jakob is being watched by his school. It depends on how much I have to do, etc.
Friday, I only have a Science lecture, but we got there early. Have to get there early for parking. I have a parking pass, but parking is pretty pathetic for the amount of students that go to UNT. Anyhow, I was at school from about 8-4pm and did a decent amount of reading/studying. Jakob decided on Friday though not to eat lunch. He had all the other things, breakfast, and the snacks, but he decided that day, no not hungry! He was worn out by the time I picked him up on Friday. He crashed in the car I think about 5 minutes after we got driving. I think he’s going to do that each day I pick him up. All that playing, what’s a boy to do!

Out of shape!
Okay, I didn't realize I needed to be in shape to be in college! :) Ha! My legs are so sore from walking EVERYWHERE Tuesday and Wednesday at UNT! I'm glad I have Thursday off to rest from walking!

Jakob sick this week...poor baby
Well, I’m a little behind, but I have had a long week. Jakob woke up sick this past Sunday morning. He ended up throwing up most of the day Sunday, and by the time of the afternoon I was on my 5th shirt, and I lost count how many times he was changed! Monday, Jakob was doing a little better. He got sick once at lunch and I called the doctor about him and they prescribed a medicine to help his stomach. Tuesday, he was getting better but would have spells of not feeling like himself, so the two of us vegged on the couch together and watched different shows until he was ready to get up and play with a few toys. Wednesday, he did great and I thought he was over his cold. However, Mom came on Thursday and we had a revisit of the whole thing in the afternoon while shopping. Poor baby, but I think it was the red drinks that bothered his tummy. He’s had red drinks before and has been fine, but with already being sick, the red drink must have been just enough to make it upset. So no red drinks for a while for Jakob! We got home yesterday and he took a nap and when he woke up, he was feeling better. So far this morning, he has had his formula and a small breakfast and is acting normal. I told him last Sunday that he still had to go to school/daycare next Tuesday, January 17th. What’s funny is he got really sick at 6 weeks old before I initially went back to work where we had to take him to the ER due to a high temperature. I reminded Mom that she still could be backup babysitter every now and then!
Mom and I had a fun time yesterday. We went to Target and bought basic things you need for the house. We then got a little bit of food for Jakob (even though I messed up and gave him a red drink b/c I thought he was ok and past cold!). Anyhow, we headed toward DSW Shoes because I needed a new pair of tennis shoes. We then went back to Target and realized they had lots of new spring clothes out and we bought Jakob a bunch of new clothes for school! We even got a few as ‘outfits’ and they are just adorable! Afterwards, we got some lunch on the way home at Wendy’s and got Jakob down for a nap.
I have been catching up on all of my scrapbooking before classes begin. I now have Jakob caught up to 4 months! I was slightly behind on his scrapbook. He was only 1 month old in it! I have the main scrapbook pretty much done except for Thanksgiving, Roland’s birthday, Christmas, and New Years to my knowledge. I went to the scrapbook store the other day and told myself I cannot go back for a while! I have so much fun in the store! I can stay for hours if Jakob would let me! Mom compares the scrapbook store to me as the bookstore is for her!
Anyhow, I need to get around. This afternoon Jakob and I will go get Roland and then do a few other errands. We need to hit the post office (my stamps are the old 37 cents stamps) and then I’d like to hit Wal-Mart for a few more cups for Jakob for school and Payless for Jakob. His size 4 shoes are getting small, and need to see if they have anything on size 5. The Target yesterday had 5 ½ as their smallest we could find and we found a really cute pair at Payless in Killeen for $10 that have worked well for him.
Have a great weekend!

Summer Vacation
I'm so excited! Sometime during the summer, the 4 of us are planning to go to Colorado (Erica graduates from college) and then we are looking into going to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. On the way back, we'll visit with Joe in New Mexico! We are starting looking into planning it so we can figure how much it will actually cost.
